PADDLE FITNESS

The Guy Leech Paddle Fitness sessions began over 8 years ago for anyone wanting to learn how to paddle & get fit in a fantastic outdoor environment.

Open to all fitness levels the aim of the group sessions is to get fit in a fun & safe setting. Over a thousand people have participated in the plastic kayak sessions with many enjoying the paddling so much they moved up into the ocean ski paddling groups.

Guy has over 30 years experience in ocean paddling having reached the very top in Surf Ironman racing & Ocean Paddling winning World Titles in both sports. He know enjoys passing on his knowledge to the many people that turn up to his groups.

The Manly Harbour Paddle HQ has storage for your gear whilst you train as well as hot showers & a cafe open for breakfast once you have finished.

SURFSKI SESSIONS

Surf ski sessions are for paddlers that have their own craft.  Open to all levels, the group sessions focus on technique & fitness.

  • Time - 6.30am - 7.30am.
  • Monday - Manly Harbour (Oceanworld end of the beach).
  • Wednesday - Balmoral Beach (Next to Balmoral Baths).
  • Thursday - Shelley Beach, Manly (In the carpark). For more experienced paddlers

PLASTIC KAYAK SESSIONS

All craft and paddles are supplied. Open to anyone - no experience necessary. If you like the idea of getting fit doing something different in a spectacular setting then this is for you. The one hour sessions give you a full body workout with stoppages at different harbour beaches that include dry land exercises. The cross training element helps you lose weight & tone up in record time!

  • All sessions at Manly Harbour (next to Oceanworld).
  • Time - 6.30am - 7.30am.
  • Tuesday - Cross Training Session / Paddle & Run (bring running shoes).
  • Wednesday - Paddling with dry land exercises.
  • Friday - Paddling with dry land exercises.

WOMENS' PADDLE SESSIONS

Helen Leech has over 5 years' experience in coaching women's paddling classes all around the Sydney Harbour. It has become a very popular way for women to get fit in an outdoor environment. Paddling is an excellent way to tone up, lose fat & strengthen your abdominals. Because it is low impact on you body the risk of injuries are minimal. Sessions combine a cross training element with dry land exercises that help you get the most out of the session. Open to all levels of fitness & no experience necessary.

  • All sessions at Manly Harbour (next to Oceanworld).
  • Time: 9.30am - 10.30am.
  • Monday - Paddling with dry land exercises.
  • Wednesday - Paddling with dry land exercises.
  • Friday - Paddling with dry land exercises.

SESSION PRICES

Costs are as follows:

  • $25 per session.
  • Paddle Cards available - $200 + GST for 10 sessions.
